Doc Robot Figure By BC Direct

Here's something you don't see everyday: a custom Doc Robot figure.

Doc Robot of Mega Man 3 fame is quite an obscure character -- so obscure that he's rarely had any official figures based off of him. Taking that into consideration, creator BC Direct made the above Doc Robot figure of his very own whose design looks a bit more menacing than his concept art counterpart. Nice work, BC!

  1. Looks like tenguman's body, Zero's arms, Tornado Fang buster, and a ton of painting xD

  2. Whoa... Come to think of it, james, you're right. I still think it's pretty well-made, anyway, though.

  3. I like it, except the head. I love Doc-Robot's cartoony skull from the official art

  4. Is it bad that I've never ever heard of this character?

  5. body and legs are from Duo.

So this guy destroyed one of the rarest MM model kits there is for this custom, that really isnt that good.

  6. It's a Duo body, extra busters, irregular zero arm and buster and the head is a half rockman model/half street fighter blanka skull accessory. The tubes are from lego and yes James, painting out the wazoo!

I'm working on a cartoonier skull from scratch. The head bothers me a bit too.

Duo isn't rare where I'm at in LA. I've seen many of them and bought this one from a guy for 10 dollars last week. Sorry you don't like the figure Anonymous(2), It's only my 2nd custom and I actually like it.

  7. No, Duo is a rare model kit. Brand new in box is even rarer. And i'm from L.A. too but that has nothing to do with his rarity. Most likely the person you got it from didn't know the real value of it.
Nice custom, it does look kinda similar...

  8. Looks like this guy truly created a Frankstein monster! But in a good way...^_^. A combining of maybe 3 Rockman Models it looks like, but I have no idea about the head. Even so, has a very official unofficial look.

  9. my mistake. I see it a lot at shows I go to for pretty cheap, guess I never really thought of it as rare. Oh wells, I'll keep that in mind next time I consider scrapping a kit!

  10. If you see a lot, it's not rare. It's kind of hard to refute that logic.

  11. If it is rare though and you don't tell anyone you know where to get a large supply of them, you could just buy them all and sell them all on ebay for huge profits.

  12. Yes that may be true, but I'm a firm believer in not economically raping other Rockman fans who want this kit. Two weeks ago at Wondercon there was a kid there and walked away with 27 sets of Green Lantern figures and cock-blocked die hard fans who didnt even get one. Then he tried to sell it to them for 5 times the retail. Gobbling up hordes of figures and reselling for a way higher cost is a very douche-y thing to do.
